The Teague railroad folks who work on the Burlington Northern/Santa Fe line will soon be working for some “new people.” Multi-billionaire Warren BUFFETT is making a bid to boy the railroad, through his Berkshire Hathaway, Inc., company. Once bought, Buffett will have spent $34 billion to acquire the lines. Despite one political party’s continual slamming of “rich folks,” I wonder where jobs would come from if it weren’t for “rich folks.” Anybody got an answer to that one?!

The Teague Chronicle reported in its latest edition that the Teague Citizens National Bank has re-opened its doors under the name of U.S. Bank-Teague Branch. This followed action after temporary closure of the bank while Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) officials occupied the bank, checking all of the records, then announcing the re-opening under a new banner...
