All four occupants of this 2002 Nissan Altima were injured, with two of them taken to the hospital by ambulance with incapacitating injuries, after the sedan and the white 2005 Chevrolet pickup at top right, collided on U.S. 84 Thursday. The driver, 23-year-old Christena Neighbors of Wortham, and her backseat passenger, Colton Smith, 19, were the two taken by ambulance, while the other two men in the car went to Parkview Regional Hospital by private vehicle. The wreck took place at 11:27 a.m. near CR 474 about four-tenths of a mile west of the Mexia city limits. The driver of the pickup, Alma Hernandez, 40, of Mexia was also taken to the hospital by ambulance with incapacitating injuries. Altima passenger Travis Shockley is shown speaking to DPS Trooper Chet Seelinger. The pickup was eastbound but turned left in front of the Nissan as it was headed west, and Hernandez was ticketed for failure to yield right-of-way while turning left.
